Profile - Katie Moore

Katie is one of the original team members.  She joined the Ringwood Athletic Club in 1995 where her focus was sprints from 100m to 400m.  She quickly joined "Team Fiedler" being introduced to Pro Running whilst still a teenager.  Despite a few seasons interupted with injury and illness, she still continues to be one of the most consistent performers on the amateur and pro track.  She is one of the most determined and focussed members at training and is one of the leadership group, and now regarded as the Team Captain.

She made a flying start to Season 06/07 running close to PB over 100m at her first start and followed that up with making the Epping Open 200m Gift Final.  Not long after that she then fell down a pot hole and cracked a bone in her ankle eliminating her from competing for the rest of that season.

She then had some reconstructive surgery on the ankle after it was found to be more problematic than first thought.  She has now recovered after an extensive rehab program and the resumed racing at Sandringham in 2007/2008.  Her results were mediorcre at best but she has
now had more time to include more running in her training program and it was hoped that her performance will begin to refllect her performances from before she suffered this major inujury.

That proved to be true in season 2009/2010 where she won numerous big races on the pro track and posted PB's in the 100m and 200m where she also won Victorian medals and made National finals.

She is a member of the Ringwood Athletic Club.
